Beeping cyclists is increasingly a thing. I can hardly remember it prior to the last couple of years and now it seems to happen every few rides. Presumably it is to encourage us to move politely into the gutter/gravel/shite so as not to hold someone up by 30 seconds. I wish there was a way of explaining to motorists (perhaps some sort of universal hand signal) that said ‘I’m riding here deliberately because either a) the road surface is shit further in or b) there is no way it’s safe for you to overtake here so to avoid you cutting in on me I’m holding my line. Trust me I don’t want you right up my arse anymore than you want to be stuck here so just have a little patience and I’ll move as soon as I can’. OT rant over
