So good to see Vialli there as part of the set up.

Italy find a way to win. Busquets is still a wonderful player just ran the show esp in that 1st half.
-
• #157954
thought I saw Donadoni in there too. Him and Gianini were my favourite players back in the old Channel 4 Serie A days when Gazza and Platt and Papin were toiling 0ut there

You could tell Morata was gonna miss that by his body language, they deserved to go out for persevering with that petulant, bedwetting twat... Italy's to lose...
-
• #157956
Would be good if he was in there too out of those mentioned I loved Papin bought that classic Marsellie shirt beacuse of him watching trans world sport European goals round up then he left for Italy 🙄.

The gang of Italian fans in comedy Italian chef outfits and the “Risotto>Paella” banner were personal highlights

Risotto>Paella
Loved those guys and missed that banner, now I want them to win.

Saw Papin play once at the Stade Velodrome in the classic team with Waddle and Abedi Pele. He sat on the grass in the centre circle reading L'Equipe before the warm-up, then scored 2 in a 4-2 win, superb night.
Edit: this match https://www.ohaime-passion.com/matchs/1991-19642-marseille-nimes.html it was actually Abedi Pele that scored twice plus a certain Didier Deschamps

Need to see a photo of this. Thought I was going mad when the commentator said they were celebrating with the Italian chefs. I thought it was peak Italia that they had their cooking staff on the sidelines.

Just watched the highlights, so happy to see Jorginho slide the winning penalty home... I think I want Denmark to win, that will set up a good final... Snoozefest final otherwise...

Spain deserve better penalty takers.
gutted for Olmo and Busquets who were immense tonight.
There wouldn't have been a penalty shoot out but for Morata. Olmo, who was brilliant, also missed. Actually he missed whereas Morata was saved.

Last night's game was the decider for who will win the tournament; tonight's is to determine who will be runner up.
It was, without a doubt, the best game, from a neutral perspective, that I have seen in years.

Oh and J5 - cool as fuck

• #157966
yep great goal from Morata. gutted for him and the rest of Spain. they were marginally the better team.
-
• #157967
Dunno about marginal, they were all over them right after Italy had scored, had no clue on how to deal with Pedri, Olmo, Koke.
Enjoyable game.

Really looking forward to this game.
Not for long.
Early Denmark goal really shakes England, we regress about 12 years and end up panic passing and on the backfoot until half time. Come out at half time much stronger, Wembley erupts in celebration briefly until they realise the fine shot actually skimmed the outside of the right post and rippled the outside of the net. A good half an hour followed but couldn't break down the Danes and some late pressure by them kept it at 0-1, it only came home as far as the end of the street. I should really get some better preparation in for these games, obviously a cold start isn't the way forward. Hoping I'm wrong on this one and will put some practice in before the final.
