  • No problem, my issue isn't really with challenging International Law, the world is a dynamic place and past conventions aren't always appropriate or in a countries sovereign interests. However, this Government seem intent on pursuing a populist agenda at the expense of the disadvantaged and it really pisses me off. Illegal immigration and asylum seekers are such a massive non-issue on the list of issues we have as a nation to be addressing and yet here we are happy to demonise them rather than challenge and educate the electorate.

    Fully agreed. I’d add at the expense of the UKs international credibility. It’s not donald trump levels of distrust, but it’s really not a good look, especially considering the tens of millions of £ the UK spends on ‘prosperity’ projects abroad, teaching countries about the importance of the rule of law…
