Yeah, at the time I was running Rubino Pros on my fixed and GP4000S on my road bike and I liked them both very much. I treated the fixie to a pair of 4Seasons and I was really surprised by the grip thing. It wasn’t to do with the ultimate amount of grip, it was how the grip would suddenly disappear in the wet. They were really quite hairy on anything remotely slick - while I found the Rubino Pros were much more communicative and you could feel where the grip was and how much was left. The 4Seasons would be there and then suddenly let go.
Plus they punctured three times in a fortnight on really quite small bits of grit.
Lovely bike. I hated Conti 4 Seasons when I tried them years ago - I found they were very puncture prone and grip was unpredictable in the wet. Have they changed or did I get a duff pair?
