Only if they are actually worth anywhere near the other asking price. I'm pretty sure you could use DSP and cheap class D power amps to synthesise the "valve sound" in a way which would be undetectable to any listener in blind trials.

*Go into any higher end hifi shop and smell the used stuff, cigars. Am I doing it wrong by not smoking cigar's when listening to music? Semi genuine question.
