  • Unfortunately that's going to be the first to go as it's worth the most.

  • Which ones do you have?

  • All of them. (except the super delay and older versions)

  • Oh my word, I've just looked at the ebay prices. I knew they were pricey but that escalated quickly. Undibs… GLWS, hope you don't have to liquidate too much nice stuff. :/

  • My wife is thinking about buying one of these:

But before we do I was wondering if there's anything similar that people would recommend? Possibly something second hand to keep an eye out for on ebay.
She would like something that has a nice feel to the keys, 61 keys, sounds ok and is not too heavy so she can take it to gigs. We used to have a full size digital piano but it was so heavy!

  • The problem is anything with a weighted or semi weighted keybed is heavy. One of my favourites was the DX7. Decent semi weighted keybed. Still a bit of a lift though.

If she's played this one and likes the feel of it then why not, Roland is usually quite decent.

The best keyboards of this type will be heavy though.

  • Playing around with some 133bpm house/techno vibes today, early sketch but possible candidate for LFGSS release…?

  • Nice one, the mix/mastering sound perfect on my setup. Could have enjoyed a breakdown or 2 to showcase some of the percussive or melodic elements.

Today is the first day since for ages that I might get to look into the vinyl release a little further. Since I got back to work my music output has been slipping from my grasp.

  • Thanks man, yeah it's nowhere near being a track yet, just a live take with some mutes and then a bit of EQing and Ozone. Needs structure, breakdowns, etc. Maybe a pad at some point.

GL with the vinyl thing, LMK if you need any help. Can contribute graphic design when the time comes.

  • Anyone have experience / opinions on a class compliant USB mixer that can be battery (or ReVolt / power bank) powered, has a decent noise floor, 2 mic and 2 stereo ins and will work with *most Android phones for stereo streaming (44.1/16bit) Would be for an Arts project that has limited funding so around a dozen for £1k kind of price.

*Yeah, I know Android phone specs are a minefield in their right, is the gamble on them working the same regardless of mixer?

Oh, and tethering a laptop to a sim isn't an option, stream needs to upload from a mobile app only.

  • That's Behringer budget, eg the Xenyx Q802USB:

I have no experience of either their USB mixers or trying to get USB audio into an Android device but the internet does suggest it's possible (with Lollipop or later). Not sure if it's actually class compliant but stereo USB audio… probably would be, right?

Also quick peek at the manual says the USB audio is 48khz, no 44.1 option, if that's a dealbreaker.

  • I have one I don't need. Only used once. Wanna buy?!

  • Yeah, that 50-80 price mark, I know the build quality won't be anything amaze at that price.

From my research it sounds like they "should" work on android too, but try looking up anything specific and it's
"Get *pro audio*into your phone using this TRRS adapter!" Nah!

@EB Ta, will keep in mind if the funding falls through and I decide to get one for myself anyway.

  • race radio from today, condensed - stripped silence down to 5 second intervals

play with your favourite ambient / instrumental

  • That's fantastic!

  • Any Jóhann Jóhannsson fans here?

May be of interest if so: https://www.karolinafund.com/project/view/3019

  • Does anyone have a cheap audio interface for sale?

  • How cheap and what type of connection? I have a Focusrite Saffire Pro 26 and a 1st gen Apogee Duet that I no longer use but both are Firewire. You can generally use a firewire-to-thunderbolt adaptor to make them work with modern Macs but if your OS is too new it might not work.

  • I have a Behringer Xenyx Q502 USB 5 input 2-bus mixer and USB/Audio Interface. Used once. Boxed.

I could do for £30 posted

  • I'm using a new MacBook Air. Would either of those work for me?

I'm only looking to play about with sending audio from a couple of Volcas and a Koma Elektronik Field Kit to my laptop, and then on to my HiFi via a bluetooth receiver.

  • The Behringer will be your best bet, I doubt you could get a FireWire interface working on a brand new Mac.

  • If Sparky isn't interested in this, I'll take it. Edinburgh based
