How cheap and what type of connection? I have a Focusrite Saffire Pro 26 and a 1st gen Apogee Duet that I no longer use but both are Firewire. You can generally use a firewire-to-thunderbolt adaptor to make them work with modern Macs but if your OS is too new it might not work.
