  • Hi as a new return collector of vinyl i was hoping for some advice, my musical tastes are generally not fashionable so buying up back catalogues on LP has not been too expensive for some of my fav bands as theyre laughed at (Yes/ELP/Genesis) these days

However Im finding Pearl Jam a tough one, i need two LPs to complete the studio LPS but they seem to go for quite a bit of money. Are reprints common for current bands so do I sit and wait or bite the bullet and pay through the nose for the two I want (No Code 1996 and Backspacer 2009) ?

  • Maybe there is an indie equivalent of https://www.tuffkongrecords.com/

It is not my genre of choice but I imagine if the demand is there someone may be doing it.

  • I would say the trend is that everything is getting repressed. 1996-2008 is probably when major label rock music LPs were pressed in the smallest numbers, but i'm sure an artist like pearl jam would sell the represses at some point.
