Little Méabh went for a check up at the vets on tuesday to see how her skin infection is doing. All the skin on her body is now absolutely fine, though there's still some infection on her face. So another two weeks of oral medicine, another two weeks of cream on her face and one more week of cream on her body. I was hoping that she'd be all healed but this is actually a great result. She also put on a tiny bit of weight and is now an enormous 3kg. The vet wanted to re-shave the patches on her body where the infection was to make it easier to put the cream on, and the 3kg cat needed four adult humans to hold her down while she wailed at the top of her voice. Slightly embarrassing but I was also a little proud of what a ridiculous drama queen she is.

Awkwardly shaved patchy conehead cat pic! Pretty much the only pictures I have of her are her sitting on top of people, she's a very sweet little thing and the shaved patches are definite improvement on when she was fully shaved and looked like a scrotum wearing a cone.

Glad to hear she's improving. Love how affectionate she is! Pack animals have their upsides even when they're feline, snooty bastards like most cats.

Loving all the pictures! Chief Package Opener is extremely serious about this crucial role!
I went into Méabh's room on friday to find that she'd been sick... on the floor... on another bit of the floor... up the side of the litter box... on the bed.... on more of the floor... on herself... on her cone. I had to give her a bath to clean her up. I think it's the oral medicine she's taking, so delayed one of the doses by a day to give her stomach a chance to heal. She hasn't been sick since but she hasn't been eating her food with quite the same gusto. Poor ratty little cat.

We were away for the weekend, not the first time, but Kipper seems to have marked areas of the kitchen whilst we were away.
Unfortunately one of those areas was the toaster, which became apparent when I went to make toast. I am still gagging from the memory of the stench seven hours later.
Thanks Kipper -

I felt incensed by Fabric's pissing on pillows, sofa, bed, bean bag etc. Toaster really is next level 😂

Thought I was doing well at getting catface to start using the facilities outside.
Noticed a funny smell coming from the front door area. Thought someone had stinky feet.
Turned out it was catface using the door mat as a litter tray.
FML.
New door mat ordered. Lots of enzyme cleaner used.
On the plus side, the floorboards look in good shape, and there's lots of meat on the engineered wood floor for a potential sanding one day.

Fred got into the habit of using the doormat as a toilet. Was a bloody nuisance. Ended up having to forego having a doormat, after working our way through a few different types which didn't offer any deterrent.
Happily, the current cat residents stick to litter tray or outside.

Yeah. Any cat piss inside our gaff is a disaster. No idea how people can tolerate it in any form. Catface has been in the proverbial dog house this last week, spotted him circulating the area so picked him up and chucked him straight outside in the rain.
"Can I drive??"
