Thanks.
Where abouts are you? There’s Blackhorse Workshop in Walthamstow. I also know a guy in Greenwich that might rent you a bench.

Love that calliper hack

Is this a mt3 witha draw bar?
-
• #137
Yeah, MT3 with a drawbar. The RF30 is a near perfect hobbyist framebuilder's mill, bar getting a reconditioned horizontal. The only crap thing about them is the crappy downfeed measurement, hence the caliper hack.
This one is an RF25, It's the most useful tool in the shop. I really like it. Just pimped it with that lasercut faceplate because I could.

I have a metal chop saw for sale with a spare blade if anyone needs one. Good for cutting down tube and box section. I’ve just got a bandsaw so no longer needed. It’s £5o collect in Brighton, can bring to the train station if it makes it easier or meet somewhere potentially

A cold saw, or Rage type thing?
-
• #140
more like a rage with an abrasive disc.
I can't remember the model number but it is by Ferm and older but pretty much the same as this https://www.amazon.co.uk/COM1007P-Professional-Cut-Off-Machine-Saw-355mm/dp/B077J2HMLT

Big delay in reply but what collet holder are you using for this? I have a Long Chang LC-15a that's been sitting half on the ground for the last year but will be getting it all together this weekend. Plan is to use it with the paragon holesaw Arbors for doing miters.
Cheers. -

Got it up on the table with some friends help, fine feed doesn't seem to engage but turns on and doesn't explode. Will give it a bit of a year down to see what's going on.

Really need to find a space in London and people to share the cost with. Difficult to justify for a hobby though
