Ahh that makes sense! Then who made the AIR frame?
-
• #128904
Haha, I always assumed it was some esoteric French builder!

Ooof that's clean. You should make before and after pictures when you return, before cleaning. have fun!

stribe looking 👌🏼
did you get rid of the crux ? always loved that frame colour

• #128910
Holding on to the Crux, it's kind of special to me. Not getting used, but I plan to put on the old tubular race wheels and maybe use it for the odd cyclocross outing every other fall.

That’s lovely mate. The bags are a great colour scheme and suit the bike perfectly. Really nice. What the lower HS cup you’re running out of curiosity please? Hope the trip goes well and enjoy! T

you know you dont have to have rapha bags on the bike all the time; how do the brakes feel?
-
• #128914
Where else am I meant to put my sausage rolls?
Didn’t even take them off during unbuild and build.
Brakes are ok, plenty good enough. -

Thanks Thomas it’s been an absolute pleasure making these!
Thanks @Heldring !
@chrisbmx116 I’d love to, hit me up. I do have to warn there’s a bit of a lead time at the moment.

Advice needed on saddle choice. B17 doesn't look right, position is quite upright so I need something wide-ish. Thinking C17 in natural but then also contemplating something along the lines of a Spesh Phenom.

Ergon make nice and wide touring saddles. Would recommend.
-
• #128919
Cheers. Their saddle selector thing recommends the ST Core Evo. Looks slightly, erm, orthopedic? But reading around lots of people seem to rate them.

Check their name, it’s what they do.

I try not to spam too egregiously, but If you want cosmetic help with those spacers hit me up. Other Nitto Bullmoose users have been very happy with the improvement.

Yeah, I mean you've got a point.

I wouldn’t normally say this for a modern bike, but a tan saddle would look bang-on with those grips and tyres. Charge Spoon if not Brooks?
-
• #128924
I didn't even think a Charge Spoon was a thing any more. Had one on a sweet fixeh back in the day but assumed it was all under the Fabric brand these days. Then there they are on Tredz for 30 quid.
Also eyeing up a Gilles Berthoud Aspin in 'natural' but they're many dollars.

• #128925
Yeah it’s Fabric these days but I couldn’t remember who it was!
It's a Cyfac and Charlie-Olga is my daugther's name ; )
