We've got a tub of Pip and Nut on the fridge that we put in the Kong. Stops it separating as much.

Why don't you guys keep a few sections of raw pork or beef ribs in the freezer instead of these elaborate chewing solutions? I'd assume they'd be better for your dog's teeth and general health than pouches of cheap food, kibble and peanut butter.

I usually have some ridiculous bits of animals from JR Pet Products but her favourite thing to chew right now is an olive branch.

Tbh, Otto just isn't interested in Kongs. Only bones keep him occupied. Pretty sure you shouldn't leave dogs unattended with bones too so perhaps not a good solution after all.

Quick poll. How many times do you call your dog a c*nt a day?

I dunno but Otto got called one earlier by me.
Not for killing a squirrel...for rubbing a very dead maggoty squirrel he found into my legs.

Well, I for one believe his protestations of total innocence.

He was asking me to throw it for him in that photo! I'm not a squeamish type but I have limits.

I've stopped it now because he's as deaf (and blind) as a post. Doesn't stop me thinking it but there's really no point.

Haha. Zero fucks given about the maggots on his face and ear.
Vinbo found a dead maggoty bird on our walk last night. Had to pick out wriggly things from under his harness and in the buckles. WAC.

Found this stray bin terrier living behind the bike shed at work - been feeding it (and it's twin brother/sister) with a mixture of Mavis' puppy food & hob nobs - seems to be filling out nicely.

What a gorgeous guy, but it does make you wonder if we'll just end up with a lot of domesticated foxes all over the place ... then again, if it were possible to domesticate foxes, I'm sure we'd have done that thousands of years ago, so I'd guess they'll only ever be semi-domesticated?

Seen one a few weeks ago that I mistook for someone's dog before I properly looked at it - was sitting unfussed amongst half a dozen folk waiting to cross the road, as soon as the crossing started beeping it sauntered across & wandered into the park to dust off some half eaten kebabs & spilled cider - proper big fluffy Disney looking thing, what a life

The thought prompted me to look up domestication of foxes, and it turns out that in Russia there's been a project of captive breeding and 'selecting' for tameness since the 1950s, which has indeed resulted in tame foxes. No doubt the seemingly increasing number of people who establish relationships with foxes by feeding them or helping them in other ways do this with those inclined to be tamer than others.

Turd monster arrived yesterday, obviously a tough night.
Many say leave them alone, and many say bring the crate into your room. I guess you just have to decide which tactic you employ while they settle. I guess the leave them is more 'old school'

They're going to end up in your bed anyway, don't waste time fighting it.

That's cool.
Though shitster will be around 14kg in the end. But would work while a puppy.
The journey I am thinking of is a 4h round trip to the beach, a lovely cycle. Or just to get across town to go walking in the nice area, if the beach one doesn't work out.
