Merlier getting squeezed by Philipsen too.

yeah I've seen it a couple of times now, it's like a bad football takcle, the more you look at it (particularly in slow motion) the worse it looks. Don't think its egregious enough for the commissaires to stick their necks out.

The only person he cuts across is Merlier, but he was done. Philipsen was cutting across the same amount, but he's shit so slowed down.

Well, he overtook the slowing leadout Merlier, and Cav follows the straight road marking, and Philipsen was going right to try and get into the same space as Cav, but Cav was already there.

Also, to be fair, the white line kinks to the left, when everyone open their sprint, and then straightens shortly after.

Alpecin Fenix would be better off sending MVDP on a long range sprint, have DQS chase him down, and if they can, have Merlier sprint off Cav's wheel.

Holes in chainstay, chain-off, breaking rear wheels.
Mechanics and Fixing Any Questions Answered
Actually on seeing the replay, Philipsen and Merlier both had to check their speeds. That chop was deffo against the rules. Whether they'd be able to convince the jury of that against the tour's current darling is debatable though
