• I actually don't mind a little over exposure in some shots - for example technically one could say the last shot is a touch over, but it just works really well. I think that's part of the charm of analog, it handles a wide range of exposure so well, so much so that going over or under can become a tool of the trade!

  • This is all very true. I have yet to experiment with going over or under apart from a roll of portra 400, iv pushed afew shots at night with it to 800 so we shall see how they come out when I get them developed. It's all a learning curve for me so far ahah

  • Likewise to be fair, I'm certainly no expert, but one thing I noticed going through some of my very early shots I took when I bought a dirt cheap Minolta SRT which had no metering etc was how the naivety and random exposure settings gave me some really nice shots which a meter would have "ruined". Haven't learned how to control and manage that supposedly out of whack leeway sadly though...!
