Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves, great film.

Let's talk Kongs. What do you put in yours? And how long does it keep them quiet for?
-
• #2958
peanut butter and not long enough. I now mostly use this blue hollow ball with holes in the sides and break up some treats that are tough to get out.
-
• #2959
You could put dog cocaine paste in a Kong and Otto couldn't be arsed to chew it. He's just not a chewer. The lazy fuck.
-

As long as it takes for another of my dogs to nick said Kong, then all hell breaks loose.

Cheap dog food pouches. Freeze it, buys you loads of time.
-
• #2962
80-90% kibble then mix with PB and banana or even just a splash of water to soften the kibble. Slap it in the freezer then smear something tasty (PB again) on top to get them started. Pro tip - put down a towel, Nori will drown herself in dribble when smashing a Kong.

Food pouch is a good idea. Which ones do you go for?
-
• #2964
Not sure kibble will work as he needs a bit of encouragement to eat his meals. I’ll give it a go though. As you say, the peanut butter might get him started.

Whatever's cheap, just finished a box of Pedigree. Assume cheap dog food is like a McDonalds happy meal. Just snip the corner of the pouch and squeeze it in.

Thought I'd try here, anyone carring their dog in a trailer?
I see some on Google with open trailer. Trying to decide if that's OK or a bit reckless and just getting a kids trailer is smarter. -

I was out riding on Saturday and saw someone’s dog fall out of the back of their covered trailer and get dragged along the road by its lead. My group managed to help out a bit, holding stuff when they’d stopped, and the dog seemed ok, but it’s definitely not a scenario I’d imagined would be possible so maybe consider that 🤷♂️ It was really not pleasant to witness

Omar loves peanut butter in his Kong but it's a nightmare to get out of the carpet and the good 100% nut stuff tends to separate leaving the oil to leak out if you forget about it. The palm oily shit is the stuff that holds together but is apparently really bad for dogs
-

We've got some dog specific peanut butter that has no salt, no palm oil, no anything other than peanuts really. Wooden floors too.
-
• #2970
Nice i suppose dogs and carpets are hard work in general. Wood flooring is the way to go
-
• #2971
We always freeze the peanut butter kongs, makes them last way longer.

We did some bike ride in cornwall where you could hire an enclosed trailer for your dog, but they were like a dog crate on wheels basically.
I've seen heaps of people using kids trailers in this application though.

Crikey!
Yes I have seen some use a lead, which I didn't think sensible for the above

We use a backpack to take ours places.

That's terrifying. Pretty much every place they've been spotted is somewhere we walk Crumpet so thanks for the heads up!
Much cuteness - yeah Mavis does the 9pm crazy too, not so bad now she's getting out for walks & running about the park but we resorted to taking her into the garden to tear shit up for a while rather than swinging on the curtains.
She's quite handy with a football, anyone know how to speed up a video 2x & apply Benny Hill music?
