Do you work for them or something?
I bet they didn't use DPD or go through customs. They'd still fucking be there if they did.

How do people watch highlights/catch-up. ITV takes forever to make it available online. Is this the same for everyone else?

Can't find it myself but apparently a disappointed Van Aert is saying he'll sprint tomorrow, which could be fun. Would imagine he went significantly deeper than his sprint competitors today though.

Some snippets from the interview with WvA:
- " I did the best race I could, but I didn't have the legs I was hoping for today."
- "Disappointed because this TT is what I working towards and I hoped to get close to winning. But I wasn't even close"
- Interviewer: "Are you going for sprint victories now?" WvA:"Yes".
- Interviewer: "VDP has almost the same time as you, are you surprised?" WvA: "No, it's probably the first TT he's ever gone full-out and he's clearly in great form".
- " I did the best race I could, but I didn't have the legs I was hoping for today."

if you have some sort of 'record tv' option, record the 7pm highlights show so you can watch it that evening without waiting... it's a bit old fashioned I'll admit, but it works for my late meetings / early bedtime!

Tiz has the full stage every day usually by early evening https://tiz-cycling.io/main
I don't use it myself any more but it can be a bit unreliable and be wary of pop ups and malware.

Don't have a telly - so I'm reliant on their awful web service unfortunately. There are several options on youtube for highlights but I do quite enjoy the ITV coverage itself.

Yeah was around 10:15 last night, pretty frustrating and hard to see where the delay comes from.

Tivo
Actually since I'm WFH these days I watch it live if I can.
Don't have a telly
Ahhh

watch it live if I can.
Hoping to watch some of the bigger stages live for sure. Try and get back in the habit of getting on the turbo while watching.

How do people watch highlights/catch-up.
I record the highlights on a PVR.
Edited to add - does require a TV though.

You can rewatch the full live stage on ITV from a lot earlier. And just skim through to the end / interesting bits.
Though it helps if you use the trial / pay for the ad free service.

I can't really do that. I was doing podcasts during rest intervals today and then music goes back on for the work intervals. Random stuff like TV would mess me up.
Big stages I liked going to that pub on City Road...

Do you automate this or just switch between apps once you’ve caught your breath?

You have all forgotten Eddy Merckx getting punched by a spectator in the 1975 Tour.
It might have cost him his sixth Tour win.
He sued, and got 1 Franc. -
• #823
Incroyable! I knew of the punch but not the case and the ridiculous outcome. Soler's suing too:

Yes, I know.
No, she chose to stand in the road, she chose to stick her arm out into the road in front of a fast moving peloton, and chose to look away from the approaching peloton and instead look at the camera bike. Those were her decisions. I'm sure she didn't mean to cause an accident, but she chose to do those things and so should bear responsibility for the consequences of her actions which were entirely foreseeable, even if they were unintentional.
