Where does the thimble go?

He lives in the new forest now I think, but his shop is still there, though very sporadic opening hours.

I am not sure anymore... 😬 it might be too much with the thimble... I might make a few paracord lanyards with the thimble for my colleagues. They seem reasonably impressed with my crafts.

The thimble idea comes from these lanyards, which would work quite nicely with normal plastic card holders.

Finished shelving / cabinet thing with slots cut using jig thing I posted before. Needs oiling but otherwise done :)

Not sure it’s real craftsmanship but I painted and gold leaf gilded a cabinet found on the street to make a spice and herb cabinet for the kitchen.

Handles will come later.

Quick mirroring project this morning, late 50’s Japanese made pa speaker by Toa. We’ve got a pair so might do the other.
Sadly they run on a weird voltage but might see what we can do about that without hacking them apart too much.
The spun horns are wafer thin but not too badly dinged up surprisingly. Really nicely made. Nothing for scale but it’s pretty big, 700mm dia maybe.

Reflect-o-tones, very rare now.

Shelving unit finished and installed in hallway at my parents’. Annoyingly these photo album things are about 5 mm deeper than the shelf depth >:( ho hum..
