On Opi-Omi, if she had been holding up a sign saying Allez Donald Trump, or allez some detestable phrase, would it be a different case? She was selfish and negligent, unjustifiably put others’ physical well-being at reasonably foreseeable risk, then actually caused injuries, as well as mental and financial harm to many people.
She deserves to be sentenced to whatever French law says, including jail time.
