What about the spectators who were off the road but crashed in to during other incidents. Should they sue the riders or organisers or bodies?
If they had a case that a rider or organiser was negligent yes of course. But that case doesn't exist AFAIK.

It was a straight fight between Rog and Pog on Saturday and Sunday. That changed on Monday. Plenty of time for more variations, but Pog is in the best position today.

What was there to protect them?

Of course but he seemed to ride very consistently today and wasn’t afraid to show his hand.
To me that’s a show of confidence. -

What was there to protect them?
Hundreds of successful races with nobody hurt suggests safety protocols are ok. But that's not how this works if you have a negligence case you have to make it.

I don’t know, depends whether someone is at fault for the injury caused or if it was an accident? How far down the line in a racing accident do you look to see who was the one who started the chain of dominoes?
What did they do in rallying? Which is a sport that had similar issues. I remember spectators being injured/killed during events not sure if the families sued the organisers, or the drivers? Or if they even sued at all! -

That’s kinda what I was thinking, didn’t certain categories or types cease because of the crowds?
-

That'd be Group B rallying where the cars had become insanely, almost uncontrollably fast.

Awkward.
The pads look more like Aerocoach Wings and the extensions look more Aerocoach too but it's hard to tell
This photo shows totally different arm pads with "inside wings" and these look to be Wattshop:

Who said TT stages were boring? Six pages and counting so far today.

But mostly about Omi-Opi. And if taking legal action against her stops pricks in Borat mankinis acting the arse in the mountains, then so be it.

Opi-Omi should be locked up in the Bastille and made to bind copies of the LFGSS book as penance.

• #789
yes but only the limited edition ones

The same people that think sprint stages are boring and complain about commentators and all the other meaningless shit because they don't understand the racing?
-
• #792
I don't remember this outrage when Gilbert was taken out by a stray dog.
Should the owners and the dog have been imprisoned in the Bastille?

• #793
dog bouillabaisse!

Millar has been on the speaker circuit for a long time before he started his punditry, so he had easier transition so to speak to make.
-
• #795
Good stage! Not keen on watching any single person dominate BUT excited for some attacking racing as people try and gain time back
-
• #796
Daube, if you must.
-
• #797
Didn’t know he’d been doing that, but explains how he made the transition so quickly.

Memorable stages thus far. 👏
On Opi-Omi, if she had been holding up a sign saying Allez Donald Trump, or allez some detestable phrase, would it be a different case? She was selfish and negligent, unjustifiably put others’ physical well-being at reasonably foreseeable risk, then actually caused injuries, as well as mental and financial harm to many people.
She deserves to be sentenced to whatever French law says, including jail time.

I wonder if @xavierdisley wasn't on the phone at night doing some consultation for the team..
IIRC he's been working with JuVis for quite a while now. I remember him trying to source Vittoria Kronos tubs for them as they hadn't tested the Corsa Speed replacements at the time.

Also ad hoc advice for other teams and riders so not beyond the realm of possibility, especially given that it looks like MVDP ended up using Aerocoach stuff and not Wattshop.
Think that will come with time and distance, maybe once a couple of team mates retire and he’s not as close to them.
But it takes time to be comfortable on camera, and also to be able to make your points in succinct chunks, even after you’ve had time to prep.
And even then you may never be any good at it.
Millar’s transition to commentary/punditry from riding has been pretty seamless and is a best case scenario..
