Bikepacking - a viable alternative to racks & panniers

I'm all for a pannier rack for bikepacking. Am I trendsetter?

Was looking at Ortlieb trunk bags recently, something more aero for faster packing. Don't fancy any of those swinging saddle bags unless actually racing.

I've used mine for audax and shorter tours. I really don't notice any swinging. If I was going to be taking a cheap (ie. heavy) tent or something that wouldn't fit, then deffo rack would be an option.

Was being a little flippant, in reality, I can't be bothered to buy more things to get on the saddle bag train but would if racing.
