Aye, but my question is really about unused grounds. I've just smashed a load of old/undrinkable beans through the grinder to break the grinder in, but it seems really wasteful to bin them, but I also don't want to shag my plants with a potential contaminant.
I'm probably overthinking it, and will likely just add a load of boiling water to them and pour off the water to be sure.

Found that research, here you go... Spent grounds tho', just noticed yours hadn't been used...
Everyone I know just dumps the used stuff in, their gardens don’t seem to suffer for it.
