I wouldn't terminate a VDSL line onto a BT socket. Just use an RJ45 or RJ11 socket. An RJ11 plug will fit in the middle of an RJ45 socket.

oh whoops, pulled the wrong one out the box! That was actually what I was planning, honest ;)
