Ooof. There’s normally some soft tissue damage around the joint but if he’s got away with just a bit of bruising, he could be relatively okay.
He looked okay going over the sleeping policemen a moment ago. He ridden with a cracked pelvis before.

Having dislocated a shoulder in a crash at HHV some years ago, I have no idea how you could carry on. I broke my elbow last year (shattered into fragments) and needed a titanium plate to put it back together, and it was nowhere near as painful as a dislocated shoulder.
Maybe there are different types of dislocation (partial or full)? They put me under general anaesthetic to put it back in.

I did my knee cap once. Popped back in, walked home, felt grand. Next day was an immobile wreck, couldn't put weight on it for weeks. He may finish the stage but dunno about his chances for starting tomorrow.

I've dislocated my shoulder 5 times. each successive time makes it a) easier to dislocate and b) easier to put back in. First time: whitewater canoeing in the alps, needed morphine and a french doctor & burly hospital porter to pop it back. The last time I did it catching a frisbee, and I got my 10yo son to pop it back in for me

He’s now in Jawbreakers. Not sure what he had on before.
Stage 1 he wore Jawbreakers. Back in Jawbones for stage 2.
A team mate picked them up after the crash.

FfS G, he would find a way to crash an exercise bike.

I appear to be getting sound from a cookery program

Looks like he went down first. Lapse of concentration? The infamous touch of wheels, perhaps? Trademark bad luck?

A few moments earlier, clearly lost an arm.

In the 2006/2007 season Hartlepool were in second place on the last day of the season but were on the same points as first and we were favourites to win the league. We lost the last game at home and Walsall managed to equalise with pretty much the last kick of their game meaning they won the league by a point. Me and my dad were able to see them deconstructing the podium they were going to use to give the team the league trophy.
gesink is a big loss for JV. he was a key lieutenant for rog in the mountains last year
