Posh crimpers are frighteningly expensive, but if you're doing lots of wiring looms (and discounting your own labour, which you probably are if you're building your own race car...), they will pay for themselves fairly quickly.
The term posh crimpers gives me the mental image of a gold and bejeweled crimper.
A quality set of crimpers make a quality low resistance joint, which is essential.
So I'm say no to being golf worthy.
