I've heard the Sram ones are good for a few thousand kms but I reckon it's possible to get fit-and-forget BBs for around the £100 mark. There was a ceramic bearings C-Bear somewhere for £160, but ceramic is always expensive.
A brand new ThreadFit is about £190-200 from what I can find online.
You could probably get one secondhand for half that but this is a new-only build because that's basically the deal with buying a Saffron.
