Fun little afternoon project, making a budget bike shelter. No room for bikes in our little house and renting means we can't build a permanent shelter in the garden, so we've been keeping our bikes under tarps in this little yard on the side of the house. Used some PVC pipes and 90 degree connectors to make a frame and clipped the tarp in place using the pipe mounting clamp thingies (tried cable ties at first but realised that made it difficult to pull it taut over the frame).

Pretty pleased with the results! I'll probably get a better quality material eventually as this one rips quite easily, but it feels sturdy enough

So what do we think... bad back? I can't get my head around it.

Shits and giggles? As a kid we used to take lengths of angle iron and strap those to the forks making them ridiculously long and stick tiny front wheels on. Even ran some rear brake cables so we could have front brakes (not that they worked with no real weight on the front wheel anymore). Then we'd ride them around pretending to be in Easy Rider until the fork crown inevitably snapped.

I say "we", I did this. Everyone else wondered what the fuck I was doing.

I also remember that being a thing n the pre-bmx days - along with cow horns/chopper bars and most bizarrely attaching a massive whiplash aerial to the back of the seatpost and fitting a Davy Crockett style fur tail to the end.
