    I find it weird that spectators aren’t held accountable more often. Stupid or uneducated, they’re recklessly endangering others.

    I think in such instances it can be surprising that the entirety of the road and some can often be filled. It’s unlike other sport’s where the parameters of the field are clearly defined.

    In the case of famous road races like the TdF, I’d say the onus should be kept firmly on spectators not to block the racetrack. Keywords are spectators, like this lady who went through various efforts to be there specifically, and racetrack, which is easier to define when it’s a country highway lined with people. #notunpopularopinion

    Sucks for her but sucks even more for the riders whose lives she endangered and work she wasted.
