Ok, so reused some black tape to see how it ties the bike together, looks like it works but I do have some daring purple cork or even purple splash but that might be a step too far.
Not completely convinced on bar angle, that I’ve got the hoods level (even with markings on the bar 🤦♂️) and think I’ve cut one bit of brake outer an inch or so short of ideal but figure best thing is to ride and fiddle from there
