So after a while of base building aka riding as much as I can cause work is really quiet started to add a little structured vo2 sessions in recently.
Enjoying so far but still fairly easy sessions.
After a bit of a mix up and my ride not happening as planned today I ended up giving one of the side roads that run up Steyning Bostal a dig (not the one the hc is on but one that’s not got the flat section in the middle) set a PR for the climb and power for the duration of the climb and bumped up my already frankly unrealistic modelled FTP in intervals.icu
Obviously a very long way out yet, and need to get nearer racing weight gradually but pleased so far!
Woopah. So good to have a bit of real world feedback on these things.
I’m not feeling super strong but a weekend in Yorkshire and good efforts on some famous climbs felt great. Gonna have a pop at a KOM in Kent tomorrow, see how that works out 🤪
