I've realised my issue with the way England play is that I don't care enough about seeing them win but still feel compelled to watch their games.

rather be a glorious failure and have a great time doing it than go through whatever miserable self-flagellating pish england goes through every tournament.

This sums up how I feel, but I was discussing it with a colleague this morning and he was saying he'd take a ground-out 1-0 or 0-0 with penalties every game if it meant England won.

I'm going to watch the games anyway and I'd rather they were good and didn't feature our national anthem.
