I can't agree about Kate Wagner. For one thing, her pieces always seem to be as much about her as they are about her subject. It's all very earnest in the way sports writers can be when they are trying to make sport journalism seem serious. I think she's selling an old-fashioned and plain wrong version of cycling as a noble endeavour.
