Would agree with many of the points made about England. In 2018 southgate massively surpassed expectations and everyone was pleasantly surprised. However, 3 years ago the team pretty much picked itself, we had good players in most positions and some decent backup. Players like Sancho, Bellingham, James, Chillwell, Shaw, Rice, Phillips etc weren't in the frame. We now have a lot of very good players in many positions and it seems like Southgate is struggling to decide on his best team and coach it properly. We've looked pretty uninspiring so far and I think we'll get beaten by the first good team we play.
