Well, it has been the G7, but equally it was half term the week prior, so an influx of visitors from areas which had higher rates at that time.
I heard a local PHE scientist yesterday claiming that the rates were rising prior to the G7.
Reality might be somewhere in between.
Here in Bournemouth we’ve had massive increases too and the G7 wasn’t anywhere near… -
I was in the far west of cornwall until yesterday.
The place is awash with tourists coughing their lungs out. The campsite I was in had at least three people with the classic Corona upper chest cough, hacking their way through each night.It was grim.
St.Ives was absolutely packed. Coughing everywhere. I saw a good few shops and cafes were closed with signs taped on their windows saying they were closed due to coronavirus.
I'm essentially isolating now and testing every other day as a precaution.
So Cornwalls covid cases have gone above average for the first time, now what happened in Cornwall recently?
