  • I lived in Glasgow long enough to know Scotland's traditional tournament party is when England get knocked out.

Watched the 2002 WC 1/4 final in a rammed city centre pub at something silly like 7am on a Friday. Remember a friend coming back from the ladies getting a shove in the back from someone saying 'that's one of them', despite her being Scottish. Guilt by association presumably.

Shortly afterwards got vox-popped in George Square by local radio wanting a gleeful reaction to England's exit.

    Enjoy next Tuesday.

  • You're right there. That's all we've had for 23 years.

The Iceland game was a great example, I loved it and celebrated like they were my own team. Its just how it is. I know it must sound sad and bitter or whatever but it's not a conscious decision, it's how I feel, its deep and I dont decide that. Then again it's only football.

Scotland first then anyone playing England, it keeps it interesting.

The pub incident, I ain't about that in any way shape or form.
