I think buying a complete seat post from ebay or the forums is now the only way you're going to find that part. I had similar issues with the lower clamp developing hairline cracks on the rail clamping area but managed to buy a crash damaged carbon post for spares a few years ago.
For reference the Campagnolo part number is SP-RE102.
One important thing to look out for is that the "knurling pitch"(the grooves on top of the post) is 1mm on the older seat posts but this changed to 0.5mm from about 2004 but thats only for the Chorus and Record carbon versions. The alloy Centaur posts still had the 1mm pitch. The part number for the 0.5mm pitch clamp is SP-202 just in case you found one and thought it might fit.
