You are looking at it the wrong way around to his point though aren't you?
30-1 supervision of your kid is valued as free provided by the state or 15-50k if you send them to private
He is willing to pay £50k as that gets him 1-2-1 which is a massive improvement
Obviously I agree that teachers are underpaid and not trying to undermine that

I know. My point was 1-1 with a young person for £50k seems like a great deal compared with 1-30 for £30k.
(Ignore me, I'm just venting because my partner is undervalued/overworked. Not directed at you)
