One of the Conti attack motorbike tyres was recommended to go against the rotation arrow.

I also heard Conti put rotation arrows on their (edit: bicycle) road tyres so customers would stop bothering them with questions about which way to mount them.

No idea about the car tyres, remember that the road attacks had an issue as I had to get the front tyre turned ;)

EDIT: No idea about the tyres as everyone know conti r deth.
