  • As if even that would be enough. Vulnerable people need proactive support, not just letters. We'll see the effects of this played out for years, I fear.

    What is most infuriating is that there are people warning about this, and they have been for years, and still the HO sticks to its idiotic decisions (such as no paper evidence of Settled Status), creating problems on the back of those unfortunate to be caught up in its machinations.

  • Agree that's not enough, but even the bare minimum of sending easy cases information is not met. They don't even use known records... So it all comes down to charities / councils.

    And yes the digital only status is a very bad idea, Australia took 8 years at least to go digital. Here it's just pushed through...

    Perhaps once it starts to go wrong an outcry will cause a u turn but it's not looking good at the moment...
