    Pretty sure nannies were the best part of £40-50k when I was a kid. Can't imagine you'd get much change from £100k today, so quite a few people probably fall into that category.

  • We had au-pairs for a couple of years in the early 70’s. We were far from rich so I suspect it was board and food plus a little pocket money back then. One of them taught me to swim by chucking me in the local pool and waiting…
    Both were from Mozambique, I couldn’t work out why I was so popular (I was around 7 or 8). I’ve subsequently seen photos of the au pairs. Now I know exactly why I was so popular. I feel used 😂😂.
