That ^^ chicken featured in the Tower of Babel

A circle of stones with one in the middle is the trail sign for gone home.

We used that symbol on the order of service for my grandad's funeral (he was a scout for many, many years).

Need more clues, and lots of them.

The reflectoclue in the picture was enough for me to find it.

Lost perfection, gained an alliteration.

Which I presume is why it is blurred in some of the Street View images.

It's one of those where StreetView is all over the place, taking you all through the years, though.

I think I've got the right place. Other images have details like the alarm box.

Yes, you have the right place, but I've now tried every angle and I still don't get any blurring. The best I can do is having it obscured by lorries.

Google search for the establishment, have a look at the outside view in the right hand sidebar. For me anyway.

There's something of an irony that the gym next door to it used to be a McDonalds.

I’ve done a little digging around about WF, since finding out that something I’ve been part of for many years, FSC, is a descendent of the Kibbo - Woodcraft lineage. Social Credit is pretty interesting stuff, Hargrave seems like maybe a bit strange but the Inter-war period probably made a lot of strange stuff seem possible.

This one used to be good, but I guess after a few years (2017-2019 or so, hard to tell from StreetView), someone finally noticed it and they had it replaced:

If you look at the 2008 Streetview offering it shows a boarded up shop.
By 2009 it looks like a gym - albeit it doesn't look like they've finished building it.

ETA - some internet prodding reveals that McDs closed in February 2006

So, while we have a small lull, how about this. I thought about this last year, as the thread was started in 2010, but failed to get anything going in February, then the pandemic hit, and of course the game didn't originally take off until more than a year later, in March 2011.

But yeah, should we celebrate our ten-year jubilee, however belatedly, when restrictions are lifted? I thought of maybe having two groups, each with a starter tag that the group leaders do beforehand and where the groups meet. Then both groups do new tags and try to get each other's, up to maybe five or six tags (not really sure how long each would take), before both go back to Look Mum for drinks. A reasonable limit would seem to be the Inner Ring Road, retags allowed, although not on the day.

I'm sure not everyone would want to meet strangers off the Internet anytime soon even without official restrictions in place, so it may be stupid to bring it up now, but I think it could be fun.

Thoughts?

Sounds like a fun way to spend an afternoon to me.

Not my cup of tea, which should help increase attendance.

I used to live just around the corner from Zain's Hairdressers, aka Zans Hairderss.

It's been like that for years now - close enough.
