Does it attach to the rear of the bike only?

Uh no, sorry shoud have explained. It's a front seat. It attaches to the stem, there are brackets for both ahead and quill stem included.

There's definitely enough room to adjust for legs, but if her upper body is long, her head / helmet can be on your way, depends on the fit of your bike and how tall you are.
