I’m just being a pessimist I guess. Having spent time with Irish fans as well, there always just seemed so much less animosity. An animosity that seems more present in the more troublesome Scottish fans. I guess you only really see coverage of the fractious ones tho, which doesn’t help the perception.

Sweeping statement. If your team is blue/red or green and white, then you don't travel North or South of the border so well.

Rangers fans are far and away the worst. They gathered in George Square in Glasgow and within a few hours they were kicking lumps out of each other. See Europa Cup final in Manchester for more details. A fair few Rangers lads aren't Scotland fans.

Yeah for sure - gers fans in George Square recently was deffo the image that comes to mind when I’m worried that we’re going to look like wankers/cause undue havoc.

I do wonder how the pro-Union side of things plays into national team support with the rangers fans. I still find it weird, all the Union Jack waving that you see.
