That article (which I suspect is using made up sources, that web site has form) is so infuriating if you take it as true.
I thought that while we were in the EU, Brits could only spend 180 days a year (in two stints, seperated by 90 days) in any EU country anyway...unless they negotiate a residency permit or other immigration status. Thats all that freedom of movement entitles you to by default...
But yeah, sourcing and accuracy aside, third country nationals being treated as third country nationals shouldn't be a shock to people who understood what Brexit actually means.
