Turned out better than expected?
Looks good.

Well, yeah it’s amazing. The movement feels great, overall quality is fantastic (as any other Longines I had) but… I’ve noticed something after 1h of wearing the watch. About 50% of the bezel is not fully pressed into the case. Already in touch with the retailer. I only waited 5 weeks for it… fu*k my life 😂

It's like my wonky Ercol chairs....
...except I waited six months for them. FML.

Unlucky. I’ll know tomorrow what course of action will be taken. I hope I don’t have to wait another 5 weeks. The watch is really great.

It’s an Ercol, supposed to be wonky isn’t it?

That’s fustrasting, I like the lug on that.
Trying to decide on that or the Oris Big Crown
-

Hopefully will be sorted soon. I tried to push it in myself but to no avail. Can’t imagine them wanting to replace the watch entirely? We’ll see.
I had the Oris Big Crown, 40mm blue dial, great watch… but you can get the Longines for few hundred more and the quality is on another level completely. The movement feels super solid and with that big crown is a joy to operate. The stars are way smaller than I expected too.

Haha! Yes... Well, things happen. I had quite a few issues with Tudor too for example.
In my eyes the bezel is a minor thing (although obviously I want it fixed) and does not put me off the watch a tall. -

Of course - it does look great otherwise!

This actually look pretty good?

Playing with straps for the Speedmaster again. Found this brown strap in the drawer... It looks ok but I just don't think I'm a brown leather kinda person. Dunno, feels a bit forced.

Too shiny and dark.

I think it would look good with some life/ patina. Needs to be worn, a lot.

Does anyone want this? Found it at the back of a drawer the other day.
It’s a toshi strap? It was for my speedmaster so will be 20mm width.
I’ve just given it a wipe down so it’s a bit lighter than this, some of the stitching has come away and it’s super thick, far too thick for me. Sure it’s made of some sort of fancy leather.
Its quite short because I have skinny wrists but could be useful to someone.
Just cover the postage and it’s yours.
Edit: found this in an old email
‘20mm strap made from natural shell cordovan
Length 110/70 (holes punched from 46mm)’

Yeah, I miss the BigEye. But 30m WR just doesn’t work for me.
Last one for now, I promise. Have a great weekend!

I like it although the lugs could look a bit ridiculous on a different strap.

Having had the Pelagos for a few weeks now, it is the only watch I have been wearing.
I put it on first thing in the morning and take it off just before bed.It wears much smaller than the dimensions suggest, it is really light and has kept perfect time since purchase.
(Still haven't managed to swap the bracelet for the rubber dive strap, but that is probably a good thing)

Looks great. What's your wrist size?

That strap really suits it, looks good.

Speedmaster on a new black milanese strap. Better in warmer weather than the rubber one I had previously... even in the rain!
Happy Friday all!
