Where’s that?
We have switched to compostable nespresso pods (and specifically chooses supplier that did home compostable ones rather than commercially) but still can’t actually compost them anywhere.
We live in a flat with a shared garden so can’t do our own compost bin/pile, don’t get food waste collection and all the community gardens I found nearby didn’t want to take the pods even when I offered to start separating food waste and bring that too.

A small city - "city" may be too generous a word, but it's more than a town - in the states in Iowa.

So does anywhere in London have E-Bullitts available for sale at the moment?
-
• #6805
Pretty sure London Green Cycles should have a load, SBC also seem to be rolling them out the door consistently lately. Failing both of those we (Velo Domestique) have a Lizard King e6100 and some more e6100 stock arriving over the next couple of months.

Any experience of the Tern Cargo Node anyone? Not that exciting, but looks like it could be a good option?
Essentially a folding tern bike with an xtracyle attached.

I donno if anyone here owns a Packster 70, but our rep just contacted us in a panic telling us there's some sort of defect with the cable steering that they're going to announce a fix for sometime tomorrow, so maybe don't go on a ride today.
(I just wrestled child seats into one this morning, hopefully I don't have to tear them out again tomorrow...)

Omnium finally concede that putting the cargo that high is stupid..
(Omnium mini is excluded, cycle trucks are fine)

The dual 20" wheels prototype they made some time ago was hardly a statement against 700c rear wheels.

Got an Omnium Classic inbound. What's the word on using mech disc for the front? Too much friction with all the cable bends or par with a rear brake?
-

Assuming you're using flat handlebars, you can pick up basic hydro brakes for probably cheaper than cable ones these days so why would you?
I've used a lot of cable disc brakes in the past though not on cargos, and initially they're great but I find their performance fades without a load of fiddling and I wouldn't put them on a cargo personally -

Think Ben Cooper @ kinetics in Glasgow already found that on a previous shipment some months ago and made a good fix for it. Unless this is a different issue. Something like one set of the grub screws that secure the cable end were assembled wrong, so the loose/spare end of the cable was getting caught on the other side of the cam at full lock? Might be wrong but think thats all it was.

According to this its 'R&M claims that in some cases the dampening(?) was too weak, resulting in front wheel shimmy which can lead to the loosening of the cable clamping'
My german is non-existent so can't read the actual info

What you should clarify is why you cycled your kids and groceries to the dump…

We just got the instructions to correct it and it requires partially disassembling the front end of the bike, FFS. I get to shoehorn THREE of these into my packed workload.

Yes, yes it is!
I need one urgently 😎
In the past it was ok to jump the queue of waiting cars with a cargo bike at our local dump but last time I was told to wait for my turn in the same queue as the cars.
I was quite annoyed as the queue for cars is usually long and using a cargo bike meant that I'm only there for a couple of minutes as the amount of stuff to dump is not that much. Haven't been there since.
