I think the DVLA is crumbling for sure.
A friend of mine is waiting for his driving license to be returned after having to surrender it due to temporary ill health. Three months and counting...

Worth checking it was actually received. In my case, Royal Mail had my application/envelope kicking about for weeks. Guaranteed next day 1pm… 🙄

I spent the extra £4 odd and went to the post office, license returned in a week. I tried a few times online and had payments pending on my bank account despite the process failing every time.

I hope they sort it out quickly. I had problems getting a driving license renewal online recently, it seems the government systems are melting down a bit.
