Felt a definite jolt through my right index finger (the bit of my body nearest the electrics in the switch on the handle) when it happened.
Thought the RCD it was plugged into would have tripped first but it was the MCB in the consumer unit that tripped and cut the power.

Sonos. The app is total shit, it randomly crashes all the time, uninstall and re-install works until the next time it crashes. Plus the speakers themselves aren't all that much cop, sound wise.
I wish I'd heeded the warnings from people saying exactly all of this

haha told you!
(I didn't, but I'm pretending you're one of the many people I told to avoid this shit)

Ha! I think someone did tell me on the Audiophile thread. I've not been able to show my face in there since....

Yeah I know..... I am that guy....

A friend of mine asked my opinion on what speakers he should put into a property he is developing. I gave him a range of options and specifically advised him against Sonos. He then decided to get Sonos.
The property in question is a holiday rental. He's been inundated with customers complaining that they can't get the Sonos app to work properly.
I think Sonos is partly a cult that is protected by people who have spent a lot of money on it and don't want to admit their mistake. A bit like Tesla.

Yeah that hurts!

Sonos is a fucker to get setup properly.
When it is working it is fantastic.
But the hoops I have had to jump through to make it work are crazy.

So interesting. I'd always presumed Sonos was a fit and forget product that people opt for out of ease.
Good marketing I guess.

My only complaint about the Sonos One is not being able to cast from any app on Android.
Being limited to stuff supported by the Sonos app is very annoying. More so because while the old google music app did allow casting, youtube music doesn't. So it's not a technical limitation, just tech companies being obstinate bastards.
If you're on ios this is moot, because apparently airplay works fine.

GP receptionists

Go easy on them. They have a really difficult job. A lot have to deal daily with the widest spectrum of human emotion and character from arrogant professional colleagues, meth-head junkies to terminally ill patients and those in pain that want everything done perfectly and right now. On top of that the NHS is riddled with inefficient systems and methods that increases their workload.

Yes it does. Although maybe a paid-for feature.

seeing the black logo.
I do not know these people, but I always get really sad.
I understands its use and I agree with it.I've wondered if anyone has stumbled across this place, after losing someone, and finds hundreds of strangers are grieving in their own way for this (likely) stranger.

It certainly didn't, paid or otherwise. Will look into it again when I'm back home.

Let me restate.
I hate GP receptionists gatekeeping and triaging medical services where they are unqualified to do so.
I hate the system that rewards mediocrity, ignores incompetence, and fails to promote a service that is both effective and customer-centric.
But most of all, I hate being talked over when I am trying to answer the very question that has been asked me.
I'm also not a fan of being condescended to, but hey ho.

Selling cars. So much more stressful than buying one imo. Last car I sold, I ended up taking to we buy any car as it didn’t sell privately. I just want to do that with this car as it’s such less hassle, but I could really do with the difference in ££ this time :-/

we buy any car
Such a shower of cunts.
"Your car is worth £15,550"
"But here's a dead fly and a bit of dust - Now it's only worth £12.80."
When is started my last NHS job, my phone had a voicemail light that blinked incessantly.
No one knew the code to access them, so for a year I ignored it, then I hit upon the idea of trying to crack it.
4 digit pin, 10,000 combinations, you got 3 attempts, then had to leave it 15 minutes before trying again.
I whipped up spreadsheet with all possible numbers, and started trying them.
Initially just random numbers, then 0000, 1111, etc.
After about 300 attempts I started on 19xx for birth years, and unlocked it with 1967.
Had a 50 message capacity (which was reached) most of the "messages" were people hanging up, sighing and hanging up, or leaving a message "Can you call me back?" but no name or contact number (there was 5000+ people employed)
