We hired http://www.essexbrickworkandrepointing.co.uk as they'd come recommended from a friend. I'd also recommend. It cost £3.5k to do the front of our Victorian terrace. It really has transformed the house. I'll share some photos once the scaffolding has been removed.

Did they do some sampling for you or do they just go for it and then it's either 1) bricks are in good condition and it's £3.5k or 2) bricks need to be replaced and it's like £10k?

That's what is scaring me when thinking about doing something like that even though I prefer the look.

Michael was a really good bloke when he did ours - pretty sure I've recommended him to others as well.

Mind you the prices have clearly gone up! I paid £1.5k for mine back in 2017
