Quick real life maths problem. There are 2 payees One has to pay 3/5ths as much as the other. What percentage is this of the whole?
My reckoning is If one is paying £5 the other £3 £8 total. So 100 ÷ 8 x 3 = 37.5%

Yep you’re right. The phrasing ‘3/5 as much’ threw me for a bit.
