Just mounting the Evo adapter the other way round, usually works for u-brake canti position. I've seen quite a lot successfully using this.
As you can see on the pictures too, sometimes it's necessary to cut the brake booster or even drill the holes in the Evo adapter a bit more...
The additional benefit with the GT is that you do not need to get along any longer with the a bit strange cable routing for the rear brake ;-)
